Father Elias Leyds c.s.j. continues with his series ‘FilioQue – the Catholic trademark’. As a small change, this time the father will focus on the wisdom to be found in the psalms. This time a psalm for addicts: psalm 136.
This world is an exile. For the believer, our home is now elsewhere. We live in a world that passes away.
Christ experienced all the psalms in his own way. So the psalms also tell us all about the inner life of Christ, with which we can unite in our trials in order to overcome together with him.
Psalm 136 is a psalm for the addict in man, to fight against addiction and to overcome in Christ.
