Jan van het Kruis – In zijn eerste preek voor EWTN.com wereldwijd, vanuit de kapel op de campus van EWTN in Irondale, preekt Pater Elias Leyds C.S.J over de Heilige Jan van het Kruis, met gebruikmaking van zijn ervaring als gevangenis aalmoezenier in de algemene gevangenis van Vilnius, Litouwen.
De gevangene zei tegen Pater Elias over het boek ‘de donkere nacht’ van H.Jan van het Kruis: “I’m finding out that going to find God is like warfare. Why are not more parish priests preaching like this!?”.
Father Elias: “I did search for oil, but I found the Lord”
“Our soul wants to be accountable, that is what repsonsibility is about”.
